Dear colleagues, dear friends,
Dear colleagues, dear friends,
It is my personal pleasure and great honor to announce the 25th International Course on Clinical Neurosurgery at the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the International Neuroscience Institute, Hannover.
We are planning an exiting Hands-on Course for minimal invasive skull base approaches, demonstrating the indications and procedures of microsurgery and endoscopy. Specialized surgeons will demonstrate their developed surgical techniques. (July 18-19, 2010).
On the 20th and 21st of July, we will perform live skull base surgeries demonstrating the skull base approaches from the Hands-on course.
I will be looking forward to welcoming you at the INI-Hannover for the Hands-on Cadaver Course and following live surgeries demonstration.

Dear colleagues, dear friends,
I have the great honor and pleasure to coordinate, together with the staff of the Neurosurgical Department at the International Neuroscience Institute - Hannover, the “2010 INI Hands-On Instructional Cadaver Course”.
It will be a presentation of minimally invasive techniques for anterior - lateral and posterior skull base surgical lesions. This course is designed for practicing physicians, residents and fellows, both neurosurgeons, otolaryngologists, neck surgeons and minimally invasive skull base surgeons who are interested in the most recent developments in microsurgical & endoscopic surgery of the cranial base.
Participants will have an opportunity to gain and expand their knowledge regarding the above mentioned surgical fields.
The Course Objectives are as follows:
-- comprehensive review of the microscopic & endoscopic anatomy of the skull base.
-- discussion of the surgical decision making process in the management of the skull base surgical lesions.
-- description and demonstration of the step-wise approach in performing skull base approaches.
-- hands-on anterior - lateral - posterior microsurgical microscopic approaches to the skull base.
-- hands-on endoscopic transnasal transsphenoidal approach to the anterior skull base and pituitary fossa.
-- 3D neuronavigated video demonstration of anatomy and operative approaches.
-- how to recognize and respond to complications of microsurgical & endoscopic procedures.
Many tricks will be discussed and showed during the course since all course masters have been involved in skull base teaching fields since many decades.
I believe that practical anatomy and surgical education strives to promote the concept of lifelong learning by utilizing the latest technology to connect young people, residents, healthcare professionals and surgeons, to world-class experts and faculty.
I am looking forward to see all of you in Hannover, to share knowledge and enhance friendship.
